VeraSeek / Privacy

Privacy policy

VeraSeek keeps the default path local. This page explains what stays on your Mac and which actions only happen after you choose to submit them.

This is the public privacy note for the first free Beta. The effective date will be added when download opens. Feedback: [email protected].

Local by default

Name search, ranking, basic actions, and supported content search are designed to run on your device. Core search does not require an internet connection and does not automatically read your clipboard, screen, active window, or arbitrary file contents.

Online actions are explicit

Web mode hands a query to your selected search engine only after you submit it. AI mode sends a request only after you enter AI mode and actively submit. VeraSeek does not infer that a question should go online.

Keys and local data

Compatible model provider keys are stored in macOS Keychain, outside ordinary settings, logs, and diagnostics. Optional local history and app settings can be cleared from the app.

No selling, no ad profile

VeraSeek does not sell personal information or build cross-site advertising profiles. Beta diagnostics and network behavior will be described in the final policy shipped with the public build.
